Mary Tafuri started her Tafurious™ brand jewelry line as a jewelry designer for a large bead wholesaler. Mary fell in love with using leather and out of desperation, started a line of leather pieces for jewelry makers that now sell world wide.
Mary’s current jewelry collection infuses exotic leather textures from her native heritage, with inspiration from steam-punk styles, Egyptian decadence & vintage brass found in Victorian fashions. Her statement cuffs & chokers are distinctively edgy, layering contradictory textiles to express feminine strength and gentleness. Mary’s jewelry work has appeared on the cover of dozens of industry catalogs & in craft trade magazines. Mary enjoys sharing her knowledge & occasionally teaches leather techniques and jewelry basics.
